Museum of the Mississippi Delta

Collaborator: Madge Bemiss Architect

The Museum of the Mississippi Delta, located in Greenwood, Mississippi, was awarded a small grant to improve their existing facility. Housed in a 1950's era office building and situated on busy Route 29, the facility doesn't immediately register as one housing dinasour bones and a spectacular collection of Native American pottery, as well as contempory art exhibitions. Madge Bemiss, who guided the highly successful renovation of the Mississippi Museum of Art, was brought on to guide the project. LoCh Design provided a phased masterplan of renovation and the design and documentation of the project's first phase. Local architects Beard + Riser provided construction administration.
